No. 10 Whitmer vs No. 36 Archbishop Moeller (OH)
No. 18 Camden County vs No. No. 23 Norcross (GA)
||Manatee (12-0) Bradenton, FL
Manatee had already pummeled its 2nd round opponent once this season, and the Hurricanes had little mercy for Venice the second time around. Central of Fort Pierce brings a sparkling resume into its game with the Nation's No. 1 team including a 40-14 win over Martin County last week.
Last: Def Venice 56-7
Next: 11/30 Central (Fort Pierce) (11-0)

Last: Def Rancho Cucamonga 34-0
Next: 11/30 No. 28 Centennial (12-1)
||Katy (12-0) Katy, TX
Katy was shocked by La Porte on Thanksgiving weekend last year, and while that was a 3rd round matchup, the Tigers made sure it was a happy holiday by blowing out Langham Creek. Who should be up next but last year's 3rd round spoilers, La Porte.
Last: Def Langham Creek 49-0
Next: 11/30 La Porte (11-1)
||DeSoto (12-0) DeSoto, TX
Last week I said we were about to find out how good No. 23 Coppell actually is. I'm not sure we found out, but we did find out just how good No. 5 DeSoto is. Wow. If the Eagles can maintain this level of play, they should be in good shape to win a State Championship. But there are no letdown games moving forward. Every team is capable of beating every other team in the Texas quarter-finals.
Last: Def No. 23 Coppell 42-14
Next: 11/30 Bowie (11-1)
||University (10-0) Ft. Lauderdale
If DeSoto had the most impressive performance of the week, University's 34-17 win over No. 19 American Heritage wasn't far behind. University's next opponent isn't as good as American Heritage, but the Suns can't afford a letdown, because Central Catholic is good enough to take advantage.
Last: Def American Heritage 34-17
Next: 11/30 Central Catholic (11-1)
||Bellevue (13-0) Bellevue, WA

Last: Def Woodland Hills 21-14
Next: 11/30 McDowell (7-5)
||Butler (14-0) Matthews, NC
It had been three months since Butler beat Mallard Creek 27-6 in Week 0, but not much changed as the Bulldogs took care of business with a convincing 27-0 win. Butler faces off with Jack Britt this week for the State Championship.
||Whitmer (14-0) Toledo, OH
To a certain extent Whitmer was relatively untested going into its game against No. 10 Mentor. Mentor had dispatched two Top 10 opponents on consecutive weeks, but Whitmer figured out a way to slow down the high powered Mentor attack. If Mentor was Ohio's hottest team, Whitmer's next opponent Moeller might be next. Moeller lost three in the regular season but is peaking at the right time.
Last: Def No.10 Mentor 62-34
Next: 12/1 No. 36 Archbishop Moeller (11-3)

Next: 11/30 Edinburg North (10-2)
||Narbonne (13-0) Harbor City, CA
Now that the formalities are over, Crenshaw and Narbonne can decide the City-Section Championship. Narbonne is still a heavy favorite over the Cougars, but Crenshaw is the only team in the City-Section that belongs on the field with the Gauchos. How top-heavy is the City-Section? Narbonne and Crenshaw beat their six playoff opponents by an average of 49-6.
Last: Def Carson 39-12
Next: 12/1 Crenshaw (12-1)
||Mentor (12-2) Mentor (OH)
Mentor knocked off two straight Top 10 opponents in the Ohio playoffs, but a third Top 50 game was too much for the Cardinals after its 3OT classic with St. Ignatius two weeks ago. Mentor fell to No. 46 Whitmer 62-34 to end its season.

Last: Def Reed 49-24
Next: 12/1 Liberty (12-1)
||Miami Central (9-2) Miami, FL
Central beat Northwestern 35-17 at the end of October, and the Rockets extended their margin of victory in the one that counted. Palm Bay is a good team, but one that Central should handle setting up a Semi-Final showdown with either Mainland or Naples.
Last: Def Northwestern 34-7
Next: 11/30 Palm Bay (8-4)
|21 (24)||Washington (11-1) Miami, FL

Last: Def Camas 51-28
Next: 12-1 Bellarmine Prep (12-1)
||Allen (11-1) Allen, TX
Allen had a very tough matchup with the undefeated Mesquite Skeeters, and the Eagles prevailed 42-28. By comparison Round Rock Westwood should be an easier opponent this week, but Allen can't afford to be caught looking ahead.
Last: Def No. 35 Mesquite 42-28
Next: 11/30 Round Rock Westwood (9-3)
||Bentonville (12-0) Bentonville, AR

Last: Def Upland 46-36
Next: 11/30 No. 3 Vista Murrieta (13-0)
American Heritage (11-1) Delray
American Heritage saw its season come to and
end, but there's no shame in losing to a team as good as University. The
highlight of the Stallions' season was its 9/7 win over Armwood.
||North Gwinnett (11-1) Suwanee, GA
Last week we said that North Gwinnett was capable of beating anyone, and the Bulldogs proved it by upsetting No. 11 Grayson. The way the game played out, it may not have been considered much of an upset. North Gwinnett won handily 28-10. North Gwinnett's only loss of the season came in September to Norcross. Both teams are still alive in Georgia's 6A Quarterfinal.

Next: Season Over
||Poly (9-3) Long Beach,CA
A candidate for comeback team of the year, Long Beach Poly was left for dead earlier this season after dropping three straight games including a 56-0 blowout by Narbonne. But the young Jackrabbits got some experience and have knocked off two Top 50 teams in consecutive weeks hanging the first loss on Mission Viejo and St. John Bosco. Poly's running game is a thing to behold and the defense is big and fast.
Last: Def No. 36 St. John Bosco 13-10
Next: 12/1 Mater Dei (10-2)
||Archbishop Moeller (11-3) Cincinnati, OH
Welcome back Crusaders. Archbishop Moeller had been ranked in the Top 5 at one point this season, but the Crusaders didn't start playing like it until the end of the year, when it's most important. In an old-fashioned slugfest, Glenbard West
edged No. 41 Lincoln-Way East 10-8. What the game lacked in firepower it
made up for in drama as the teams West survived a 4th and 10 from the 13
in the closing minutes, and that stop proved to be the difference.
||Ocean Lakes (13-1) Ocean Lakes, VA
We said that the quarterfinal game between Ocean Lakes and No. 32 Oscar Smith had the feel of a State Championship, and the game lived up to its billing. Ocean Lakes knocked off Oscar Smith to claim its spot in the Top 50.

Valor Christian began the season in the Top 50, but the Eagles only lasted one week as they opened their season with a loss to Mullen. No one is playing better in Colorado right now than Valor Christian. The Eagles didn't just knock Top 50 ThunderRidge out of the Top 50, they knocked them out, then kicked snow in their faces in a 49-3 win. The State Championship this week feels like merely a formality.
